Ruth A. Rowlette, Attorney at Law

Ruth comes to the practice of law with a variety of experiences in business, professional, and governmental forums. A graduate of San Diego State University, she initially worked in the private sector. In 1981 she began a career with the IRS in the Examination Division performing tax audits on individuals and transferred her skills to the legal division of the IRS and moved to the Sacramento Office, IRS Chief Counsel.

In early 1990 while completing her legal education at McGeorge School of Law, she reentered the private sector and worked for small tax law firms and in her own practice as an Enrolled Agent. After being sworn in as an attorney, she opened her law practice.

Because of her extensive background with the IRS and her intimate knowledge of the complexity of tax law, Ruth is well equipped to represent individuals and small business owners. She is able to recognize the subtle and distinct unwritten signs during meetings with revenue officers and agents, so as to guide the process to her client’s best advantage. Ruth’s familiarity with the IRS operating procedure and levels of authority has been a distinct asset to those who have engaged her for representation.
